The Albert Cottage Hotel contract included the refurbishment and extension of a listed building to form dining room, kitchen, bar/lounge, and toilet facilities. Works were carried out in association with the hotel which remained in operation throughout the works.

The listed building contained many elements that required close liaison with the conservation officer and inclusion of specialist items.
